Are There Qualified Retirement Plans That Do Not Work With The IRA Trust?

Q: How does an estate planner identify the appropriate qualified retirement plans that are candidates for the IRA Trust? In other qualified-retirement-plans-that-do-not-work-with-an-ira-trustwords, are there some QRP’s that do not work with the IRA Trust?

A: Following the Pension Protection Act of 2006, qualified retirement plans must provide a lump sum distribution option, so all QRP’s should work with the IRA Trust.
